Pattern For Womans Tuxedo

Today I propose a day of movies. A special day to approach, or at least try, to know reality, daily life in Kabul , from a different angle than usual.

For Afghanistan to Western eyes is just a place where there is civil war. There is a foreign intervention. There is a conflict that appears to be resolved.

But behind all these "No", there is also a daily life, daily life. To do so, to show it, Alberto Arce has produced an interesting documentary "Daily Life in Kabul" , sponsored by the Institut Catala International per la Pau, divided in eight innings.

I
seen the complete series and I guarantee that no waste. If it was once very skeptical believe the reason for our presence in Afgnistán, to believe the official government versions and the accompanying media, now or tell them. So advise your "vision." No hurry.

As all videos are licensed under Creative Commons, we enjoy a movie session without fear of being "imprisoned".

Then I leave the linked episodes and a brief synopsis, but the links have a more complete form:

Park Cinema: a cinema in Kabul. Before filled, now empty. From the ravages give good account of the projectionist who pampers his "prehistoric" team. The manager, however, not interested in the film at all. Do not understand why the mayor of Kabul still remains open, if it were not a rich American woman gave money for it. concludes "Foreigners, foreigners always" .

Embedded : Journey to a mine near Kabul, the second largest copper mine in the world. The excuse to travel is showcasing the work of Afghan security forces. The hidden agenda: to see the mine.

The myth of the cave : This is mine, mine Aynak, there are some caves that were the basis of Al-Qaeda. In this mine employed between 2000 and 3000 Chinese . Ore reserves amount to 240 million tonnes. The Chinese consortium pays a fee of $ 800 million operating concepts. This mine cave was a refuge for Ali Al Bahlul, Guantanamo now serving a life sentence.

The volunteer and the general : General Sajan think the military solution is no solution that will improve the lives of Afghans. The aid worker said that the presence of foreign troops is not to focus the safety of Afghans, but the international community.

Checkpoint Kabul: A mobile checkpoint, craftsman, nothing to do with checkpoints the Israeli army, for instance.

Helmand Camp
: this place is inhabited by 5000 fleeing Afghan Taliban to take refuge in Kabul. Here are without Taliban, but a life unclean.

Phantom Pain: It is said of a person feels a constant pain, real and true by the member amputee. This is what happens in hospitals Kabul where most activity is the amputation of limbs for victims of the war. The only place a clean, an oasis of cleanliness "in the city considered the most dusty world.

Kabul Adiction : Again, there are places and space for addicts, about 700,000 around Afgnistán. Without help, without treatment, in total exclusion, glued and peresguidos by police.

Dust storm in Kabul : From the air, Afghanistan is a great wilderness and the panorama of the country is so dark as dust and sand storm that darkens Kabul.

I've been watching with patience, all episodes, and the soul I was wrinkled. Today

precisely the newspaper El Pais published a review annual report "United Nations Mission in Afghanistan" , startling figures: year 2010 has been the most deadly for Afghan civilians : 2,777 dead, an increase of 15% compared to 2009 . The latest outrage was the killing of nine Afghan children , last week, during an Allied attack, which caused a huge rejection throughout the country against international troops.

If we add an incompetent and corrupt Karzai , and some Taliban leaders with trying to negotiate and to respond strongly negotiation will only "with a timetable closed foreign troop withdrawal" , there is little room for optimism.

me if this issue causes me great despair, I fail to imagine how they must feel the Afghans.
